- Information about materials for the
Screen printing process
-
- Frame
- This can be made from wood, iron or aluminum, but usually
it is made from aluminum. Aluminum is light, strong and rustproof.
- Various frames are available for hand or automatic printing.
-
- Screen cloth
- This is woven with polyester yarn of various sizes and kinds
such as mono filament yarn and multi filament yarn. The cloth
is available in different meshes and widths. One roll is approximately
50 meters long.
-
- Sensitive emulsion
- A water-soluble emulsion of diazo type.
- A type of non-reinforcer is added with a special resin. And
it is colored blue or violet for pin-hole filling-up easily.
-
- Film
- This polyester film is highly transparent, non elastic and
available in various thicknesses, widths and lengths.
- Traced film is made by skillful tracers who draw designs
on the film with a light-shading ink or a light-shading pigment.
A shading or graduating pattern can be made using an air gun
or an embossed film with a drawing pencil. In recent years, the
computer for digital designing has been used by advanced tracers.
-
- UV(Ultraviolet)
- Traced film is a printed Screen using ultraviolet rays. The
power source is a powerful fluorescent lamp or a high-pressure
mercury-vapor lamp.
-
- Black reinforcer
- This is a resin paint of polyurethane. When this paint is
used, 2 liquids(A and B) are mixed together. Other colors are
